Overview of hyperopia
Hyperopia (farsightedness) is one of the most common refractive errors of the eye (including astigmatism, and myopia (nearsightedness).
The vision condition in which an image of a distant object becomes focused behind the retina, making objects up close appear out of focus is called hyperopia.
Hyperopia is often seen at children and those whose family has farsighted background. When suffering from farsightedness, glasses or contact lenses are often used to correct the eye sight. Without right treatment, in long term, hyperopia can increase risk of glaucoma and lazy eye.
