How to choose sunscreen effectively?

In summer holiday, many people choose somewhere near seaside to enjoy their trips. However, after that, they come back home with a sunburn skin as the the result of not using proper skin protection while sunbathing or even from routine sun exposure.Sunburn is a serious skin ailment which may cause skin cancer. So that, some protection methods are necessary on time. Beside hats and clothes, the other common protection is applying sunscreens to cover your body. But how to choose sunscreen the most effectively for you skin is not easy? That is some thing belong to your own  healthy tips. Read these tips below:

1. Consider the SPF index in sunscreen label

The SPF number on a sunscreen label is typically between 2 and 50. For prolonged outdoor activity (4+ hours of sun exposure), choose a sunscreen that offers a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30 or higher.

In general, SPF 30 is regarded as a good, all-purpose sunscreen for active people who spend extended time outdoors. Dermatologists commonly recommend a SPF of no less than 15, though 30 is widely accepted as a smart choice for active people who routinely stay outdoors for long periods.

For fair-skinned people, winter activities and adventurers spending prolonged time at high elevations, should choose SPF 40 – 50 for a max-protection.

2. Identify your skin type:

Fair-skinned Caucasians (especially people with freckles and blond or red-haired individuals) need to be particularly diligent in applying sunscreen (or shielding their skin with clothing and hats). So evaluating your skin to choose the most suitable sunscreen product, take doctor’s consultancies if need.

3. Apply the sunscreen in right quantity

Apply sunscreen generously (for adult bodies, use 1 ounce per application; enough to fill a shot glass). Spreading too thin a layer likely means your skin will not get the sunscreen’s intended protection. Moreover, shade and protective clothing should be go alongside, recommended experts.

Apply on dry skin between 20 and 30 minutes before sun exposure begins, enough time for your skin to absorb it.

4. Reapply Sunscreen Every Two Hours for the best results, and make sure that your sunscreen is waterproof.

5. Take sunscreen alongside all time

Even cloudy days or  natural elements such as sand, snow, ice and water can also work against you. Therefore, any day that includes extended time outdoors, should the skin-care applied. UV also passes through most glass. It is most important between the hours of 10am and 4pm, when sun intensity peaks. A good rule of thumb: The sun is most intense whenever your shadow is shorter than you.
