Health ministry of West Africa stated that more than 350 people dies of cholera outbreak since June.
The federal health ministry reported that the recent outbreak of cholera happened due to flooding of the recent heavy rain and it sickened more than 6,400 people and more than 350 people died, and the ministry added that the epidemiological evidence indicates the outbreak of cholera would spread to entire country.
The ministry further told that most of the rural Nigerians do not have clean and safe drinking water and they lack access to safe toilet facilities.
WHO said that the infection causes diarrhea, vomiting and these lead to dehydration and which in turn causes sudden death of the affected. It estimated about 1,20,000 people die every year.
